I find it amazing how at the beginning of the week I can have absolutely no plans at all for the weekend and by the time Saturday arrives my weekend is FULL of activities. Joe has been on call all this week and last night was the worst. We went to bed around 11. He got called around 2am and was up from 2am to 8am. I had planned on going with my Mom and Gigi to Uncle Mike's house to help paint and leave Lucy with Joe but with him getting no sleep I couldn't do that to him so Lucy came with me. Around lunch time we left to come home and change so that we could go to a "Celebrating Home" party with my Mom at one of her co-workers' house. From there we stopped to get Chinese food for dinner and came back to our house. Our town decided to have Trick-or-Treating today instead of tomorrow so that's what we did after dinner. It was really fun to see all the kids in their costumes and Lucy loved handing out candy and putting it in their bags.
I have several pictures from the day, some of Lucy "helping" my Mom put the painters tape over the baseboards in Uncle Mike's house, some of Lucy giving Trick-or-Treat-er's their treats and some of Lucy eating pumpkin cake (her treat for Halloween) but my favorite picture is this one. When we arrived home from getting Chinese food my Mom was SO proud of herself for her parallel parking job. She managed to get right next to the curb without backing up onto it and she did it on the first try. I took a picture and told her to smile to remember it. :)
