Today we went to church and then came home. Not really exciting. Lucy took a long afternoon nap and then we went for a walk and had ice cream at Glen's. Joe took his new camera to play with and I love this picture that he got. It was a really nice day.

Saturday 8-28-10

This morning Joe got woken up at 5am by work. Lucy and I got up around 7:30 and Joe was still working when we left at 8:30 to go to Nana and Pap's house. Joe finally got the problem fixed and then he went with Grandma and Uncle Nick to the Consol Center open house. Nana wimped out on me and stayed home with Lucy while I went to the gym. But it wasn't so bad because Emily was there so I got to take the spinning class with her. After the gym Nana, Lucy and I went to pick out some stone for their house and then we went to Sam's club afterwards. Then back home for a relaxing evening with Joe. Joe got a new camera last night, which I was a little leary about him spending the money on it, but even not knowing how to use it well, he is right, it does take amazing pictures.

8-27-10

Today we spent at home. Lucy had brussell sprouts for dinner and I had to take a picture of it to prove that she actually ate them, and liked them. I'm sure it won't be long before she refuses to eat them.

Thursday, 8-26-10

Spent today at home and look what I caught Lucy doing! She won't walk but she will climb. Crazy girl!

Another day at home followed by an evening at Great-Gram's house for knitting.

Today is Tuesday but it really feels like Monday because Joe was off yesterday. We didn't do anything today but relax from our busy weekend. The only thing we did was Lucy went to Gigi and Papi's house in the evening while I went to the gym with Nana.

Joe had today off also and with the little money we had leftover from the yard sale that we didn't spend at Kennywood we decided to go to the zoo with Grandma and Uncle Nick (who were already planning on going to the zoo). It was very tiring but lots of fun. Lucy liked the animals, especially the ones that she could stand up close to them and see.

Sunday 8-22-10

Kennywood Day! We went to Kennywood with Grandma and Uncle Nick for Grandma's work picnic. Joe and I got to try out the new roller coaster and Lucy LOVED the rides! She had such a fun time. We played some games and in kiddy land the girl at the one game even cheated, pushing the big dice over one more so that Lucy could win a cute stuffed animal. We rode the merry-go-round and the train, had funnel cake and potato patch french fries and we stayed until almost closing!

Saturday 8-21-10

Today we had a quick, thrown-together yard sale to try and make some money for Kennywood tomorrow. After we got things cleaned up from the yard sale and had time to sit down for 5 minutes, the power went out. Joe called the power company and they estimated we wouldn't have power back for 4 hours. So we ran around and got things together to go over and spend the night at Nana and Pap's house. We were going to spend the night anyways because we were watching Molly, but without our own power we ended up going over there earlier. Lucy got a bath in their big tub and she loved it.

Friday 8-20-10

Today Joe was home from work. He took Friday and Monday off because we were supposed to go to the "Big Camp" but decided not to since Lucy still isn't walking and we didn't want her crawling around up there where it's really not clean at all. We spent the day at home getting stuff organized for the yard sale we're having tomorrow. But we did find time for Lucy to use her swing.

A relaxing day at home. In the evening Lucy stayed with Pap while Nana and I went to the gym.

Wednesday, 8-18-10

Lucy had her 15 month appointment today. She's a healthy little girl weighing in at 22lbs 12oz (50th percentile) and is 32 inches long (90th percentile).

Tuesday, 8-17-10

Today Lucy played in her ball pit at home and in the evening we went over to Nana and Pap's house for dinner. After dinner Vicki came over and started teaching me how to sew from a pattern.

Today we had a playdate at Nichole and Aurora's house.

Today was a very simple Sunday. Daddy spent the night at Grandma's house because he and Grandpa and Uncle Nick went to the Steeler's game Saturday night. So Lucy and I were all on our own to get ready for church. We left and picked up Daddy and Uncle Nick. Grandma was in Butler this weekend visiting Great-Grandma Peggy. We went to church then came home and started going through stuff to have a yard sale next weekend. Lucy has figured out how to climb the stairs and it's pretty amazing that she can do it. Now if only she'd start walking. lol!

Saturday 8=14=10

Today was a busy day for Lucy and I. We went with Gigi and Papi to Ohio for cousin Denny's memorial service. It was a 3.5 hour drive there and then after the service we stayed and visited with family for a while. It was another 3.5 hour drive home so we were literally gone all day. Gigi and Papi picked us up at 7:30am and we didn't get home until 9pm. But it was nice spending the time with them and visiting family that we don't see often.

A boring day at home. Joe got home from work and we went up to let Uncle Mike's dog's out and take them for a walk.

Today was actually a busy day. First thing this morning Pap came over and put up Lucy's swing set. She loved it! Then we went to Nana and Pap's house and Pap watched Lucy while Nana, Emily (Uncle Mike's girlfriend) and I went to the gym to take a spinning class. They all left around noon to go to the Jimmy Buffett concert. Lucy and I spent the afternoon at home until about dinner time when we went to Uncle Mike's house to take care of his dogs and then to Nana and Pap's house to let Molly out and then to Gigi and Papi's house to visit. Amber was there too and it was nice to see her as well. We brough Gigi the rest of the stuff she ordered from the 'Celebrating Home' party Nana had. Lucy had fun playing in the boxes.

Wednesday, 8-11-10

Today was a tired day. Katie threw up at 4am. Then I felt like I had barely laid back down before the alarm went off at 5:30. Lucy and I had to go back to Monroeville to pick Joe up from the sleep study (and yes, it occured to me on the way there that I should have just made him drop us off at home and take the van himself). Joe worked from home after his long night at the sleep study. I recently moved the one gate I have by the front door because Lucy's getting stronger now and she easily knocks it over. So she has had access to the stairs, but she can't walk, so I assumed she can't climb. She'll usually crawl over there and put her toys on the step but that's it. Last night she actually climbed up one stair all by herself! I was so proud (and a little freaked out because now I need to figure out another solution for the steps).

Lucy's 15 months old today! Another seemingly boring day at home. I went to the gym in the evening and Lucy was watched by my Dad. Then we took Joe to Monroeville for a sleep study he was doing overnight and came home. I gave Lucy a bath and thought she looked so cute, standing by the tub so I grabbed my camera to take a picture. As I snapped the picture she promptly peed on the floor. lol! Joe said that's what I get for taking naked pictures of her.

Monday 8-9-10

Joe had a rough night sleeping and decided to call off work for the day. Our big excitment for the day was grocery shopping.

Weekend 8-6-10 to 8-8-10

Friday Nana took off so that we could go to Canadhota Lake early. Pap still had to work in the morning, so Lucy went to Gigi and Papi's for a little while and Nana and I went to the gym. When we got home from the gym, my Dad was just pulling in. I went and got Lucy and came home to shower and get last minute stuff together and then they picked us up. Uncle Jack & Aunt Helen came to the lake too. Daddy stayed home for the weekend. Friday night we had a nice fire and ate mountain pies for dinner.

Saturday was busy. Us girls (Nana, Aunt Helen, Aunt Shirley, Lucy and I) went to the craft show. Pap & Uncle Jack came too, but they only stayed long enough to buy some baked goods and then went looking for the car show. The craft show was small, but nice. I got Lucy a smock/apron that was handmade and in a really cute 'Dora the Explorer' print for when she's a little older. After the craft show we went for a nice long ride on Uncle Bob's boat out on the lake. Then Lucy and I went swimming in the lake. For dinner we had hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob as a picnic outside with Uncle Bob & Aunt Shirley. Then we got changed and went up to Happi Jax for the "do-wop" and ice cream. Then we came back to the cottage and played 'Joker'.

Sunday was spent cleaning up and getting ready to go home. Nana & Pap went for a bike ride while Lucy and I napped. We came home and relaxed with Daddy.

Thursday, 8-5-10

Today we had a playdate with Lisa and her boys so that Lisa and I could exchange some stuff for Starlight Hill Studio. We drove to New Castle to their house so that Lisa wouldn't have to worry about packing up herself and 3 boys to go out with us. It was fun. I don't know how she keeps up with those 3, but I guess you get used to it when you do it everyday. Evan loved Lucy. He kept saying she was "cute" and at one point he kept giving her hugs and kisses. By that point Lucy was really tired and long overdue for a nap so she started crying. Lisa joked that Evan kissed her so much she cried.

8/3/10 & 8/4/10

Tuesday was a boring day at home. I worked on some knitting and Lucy played. Lucy went to Gigi & Papi's house in the evening while I went to the gym with my Mom.

Wednesday's are "knitting club" at Great-Gram's house. This week it was just Lucy and I. Aunt Patty came by to get keys and stuff to pick up Gram's car from the shop. Lucy and I had dinner with Gram and then she played while I knitted and Gram talked. Aunt Patty came back later to visit after picking up Gram's car.

Today was a fun day! Nichole and Aurora came over for a playdate. They had to come to us because we still have no van. They stayed for a while and then mid afternoon my Dad called to say that my van was finally done! Yay!! I forgot to take a picture of Lucy and Aurora. I try to take one every time we get together to show how much the two of them are growing. Later in the evening Mom picked Lucy and I up and we went to their house for dinner. Then Mom took us to pick up the van.

Sunday, August 1st!

Mom let us take her car last night and keep it overnight. We went to church this morning, then to the grocery store as usual. After that we went to Joe's class reunion. It was actually pretty fun. Then we took the car back to my parents' house. We stopped at Jerry's for ice cream and then Mom brought us home.

Last day of July!

Still stranded. Dad worked with the mechanic on the van today, but they didn't get it finished so hopefully on Monday we'll get it back.

Thankfully my Mom was really nice and let us borrow her car. We got it off of her in the evening and our big excitement for the day was going to Target to get some stuff.

Since we've been stranded without a van, it hasn't been a very fun week. Today we took Lucy to a field nearby and took pictures of her in some of her pretty dresses.

The first dress, the blue one was mine when I was a baby. My Mom had my one-year pictures taken in it. The second one was a gift for Lucy's first birthday from Joe's Granddad and step-Grandma Gayle. And the last, pink dress is one that Gigi bought for Lucy.
