Wednesday 6/8/11

Tonight we had knitting club as we do every Wednesday. Holly and I had the same idea and we both went to Oakmont Bakery to get dessert for Gram for her birthday. I got a cake and Holly got an assortment of little pastries. It was delicious!

At one point Lucy was being lovey and sitting with Aunt Patty. She was adorable when Aunt Patty put her sunglasses on Lucy and Lucy just sat there wearing them without trying to take them off at all.

Tuesday 6/7/11

Happy Birthday Grandmas!!

Today is Gigi and Great-Gram's birthday! (funny, huh?) Gigi is 75 and Gram is 82.

I forgot to take a picture today so here is one of Lucy from 2009 when she was just 4 weeks old. It's hard to believe we're going to have another little baby like this again soon!

Monday 6/6/11

This evening Lucy and I went over to Nana and Pap's house for dinner and then we swam in the neighbor's pool. It was awesome and Lucy had such a fun time!

Sunday 6/5/11

Today Grandma and I went to a baby shower while Uncle Nick and Daddy hung out at church and watched Lucy. They took her to a park nearby to play and then chilled by the fountain at church (which of course Lucy loved!) until we came back to pick them up.

Saturday 6/4/11

Today was awesome! We went to the river to celebrate Gigi's 75th birthday. Emily's Uncle Don brought his accordian and we had a great time listening to him play.

Friday 6-3-11

Today we had a playdate with Nichole and Aurora.

I forgot to take a picture until they were getting ready to leave.

Here are Lucy and Aurora waiting for Nichole to put her stuff in the car and come back for Aurora. The picture is very misleading because Lucy is almost a full head taller than Aurora but you'd never be able to tell because she won't stand and walk on her own yet still.

Thursday 6-2-11

Lucy getting into stuff she shouldn't.

Wednesday 6-1-11

Today was a relaxed day at home and then Lucy and I went to Great-Grandma's for knitting night. On the way home from Grandma's house we stopped at Nana and Pap's house to pick up some stuff. They brought out Lucy's new little quad to try outside and she had such a great time with it.

Tuesday 5-31-11

Today was spent cleaning and getting things put away from our weekend at the lake. While cleaning the living room I noticed that the couch slip cover still had snot on it from Lucy's cold from last week. I took the slip cover off to wash it and noticed something sticking out of the side of the couch. I pulled on it and out came this...

Don't ask me how it got there or how long it's been there. This particular couch was the one that was left behind by the previous owners when we bought the house.

Monday 5-30-11

Time to leave the lake. :(

On our way home, Lucy loving her toy dog.

Sunday 5-29-11

Today was a beautiful day at the lake. Lucy and I took a quick dip in the lake, which was really cold and we didn't stay in long, then we had our Memorial Day picnic outside. I LOVE this picture of Lucy and Nana. I only wish their faces wern't blurry.

Saturday 5-28-11

A fun day at the lake. We had a nice breakfast then went for a walk around the lake looking for yard sales. We came back for lunch then played a game with Aunt Jane and Grandma. Relaxed until dinner time then had a nice campfire in the evening.

Friday 5-27-11

This weekend we're going up to the lake for Memorial Day. Dad, Great-Grandma, Aunt Jane, Lucy and I rode up early. Since no one else was coming until late that night we had dinner at Happi Jax. Lucy sat in her portable chair right on top of the table.

Thursday 5-26-11

Today Lucy had a doctor's appointment. Nana went with us and afterwards we had lunch at Olive Garden. I will admit I am completely addicted to "The Big Bang Theory". I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and watch them over and over again. When we sat down and I saw this...

... I had to chuckle to myself.

In one of my favorite episodes, a grad student is "stalking" Sheldon. She sits down at the table in the cafeteria and asks him out to dinner. Here's how the conversation goes:

Ramona: I know this great little Italian restaurant
Sheldon: I never eat in strange restaurants, one runs the risk of non-standard cutlery.
Ramona: Excuse me?
Leonard: Sheldon lives in fear of the three tine fork.
Sheldon: Three tines is not a fork, three tines is a trident. Forks are for eating, tridents are for ruling the seven seas.

So now, of course, every time I see a three-tine fork I think of that.
