Wednesday 2-9-11

Today is a nothing day. I can't decide what to do with myself. Gram cancelled knitting for tonight because she's got a cold and Lucy is cranky as can be. I can't tell if it's just because she's overly tired from last night at Nana and Pap's house, although Nana said she slept from 9pm til 7am when my Mom had to wake her up. Lucy then had breakfast here and laid back down from 8:45-9:30 and just went down for another nap from 11:30am-1pm. The only plans for today are to go to bed early because Lucy has her MRI tomorrow.

Tuesday 2-8-11

This afternoon I took Lucy over to Nana and Pap's house where she spent the night with them while Joe and I went to the Pen's game. Lucy had a great time at their house and they really wore her out. The game was fun to be at but disappointing overall. Half the team is out with injuries and they have a bunch of players from the minor league team called up so it's half new guys and they just didn't play well at all last night. They ended up losing 4-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets. One neat thing about the game though was that RJ Umberger plays for Columbus and I went to elementary school, CCD and (some of) high school with him. I remember him being in and out in high school because he was away at hockey stuff all the time. But it's neat to say that I sort of grew up with him. He looks exactly the same and he did really well last night, I think he had at least 2 assists. The best part of the game was the fights. Hey, when you're losing 4-1 why the heck not, right?

Monday 2-7-11

This morning Lucy had her session with the PT then Nichole and Aurora came over for lunch and a playdate. It was nice seeing them since it's been over a month since we've gotten together. Lucy and Aurora even seemed to actually kind of play together. Normally Aurora is just the tornado that goes running around Lucy and Lucy couldn't be bothered with her but today they actually shared some toys and seemed to notice one another. Lucy started getting really tired late in the afternoon and she laid down on the floor. Aurora went over and laid on top of her and that started Lucy crying. So Aurora just laid down on the floor next to her. It was pretty funny.

Sunday 2-6-11

It's Super Bowl Sunday! I was really looking forward to today because the Steeler's are in the Super Bowl and my parents were having a Super Bowl party which usually means lots of good food. We went over around lunch time to help move the TV downstairs and get things set up. The Pen's played at 12:30 and that was a disappointing game, they lost 2-0 to the Cap's. Uncle Mike and Emily came over to visit around 3 and we had pizza and wings from Woodpeckers. The seasoned wings were really good. Then came Super Bowl time. It was pretty disappointing all around. The Steelers played terribly and lost and I'm sure the food was great, but it was nothing that I was interested in and maybe it was just pregnancy stomach but just looking at it made me a little queasy. Lucy was also miserable because she hadn't napped well all day. But it was still a good day, it always is when we get to spend time with family and friends!

Saturday 2-5-11

Today we went to Joe's parents' house to celebrate Uncle Nick's 22nd birthday. We had pizza for lunch and Nick really enjoyed his Zombie cake. I posted about it here. Then we went to church and the grocery store and came home.

Friday 2-4-11

Didn't do a thing today. Katie had her toy in the living room and Lucy was trying to take it from her. It was the funniest thing. Katie wanted to play tug-o-war like she does with us but obviously Lucy couldn't hold on like we do. Lucy would grab the toy and Katie would pull it, half the time pulling Lucy over with it and then she'd run away. Lucy laughed hysterically every time Katie did it.

Thursday 2-3-11

Tonight for a change Pap-pap watched Lucy while Nana and I went to the gym. Afterwards Lucy was having a great time playing with Nana. Ever since Christmas when Lillie and Lucy were playing knock-down and pull-back-up with her, Lucy loves that game. Although Lucy doesn't pull her back up, she just knocks her over then throws herself on top. lol!
