Tuesday 5-31-11

Today was spent cleaning and getting things put away from our weekend at the lake. While cleaning the living room I noticed that the couch slip cover still had snot on it from Lucy's cold from last week. I took the slip cover off to wash it and noticed something sticking out of the side of the couch. I pulled on it and out came this...

Don't ask me how it got there or how long it's been there. This particular couch was the one that was left behind by the previous owners when we bought the house.

Monday 5-30-11

Time to leave the lake. :(

On our way home, Lucy loving her toy dog.

Sunday 5-29-11

Today was a beautiful day at the lake. Lucy and I took a quick dip in the lake, which was really cold and we didn't stay in long, then we had our Memorial Day picnic outside. I LOVE this picture of Lucy and Nana. I only wish their faces wern't blurry.

Saturday 5-28-11

A fun day at the lake. We had a nice breakfast then went for a walk around the lake looking for yard sales. We came back for lunch then played a game with Aunt Jane and Grandma. Relaxed until dinner time then had a nice campfire in the evening.

Friday 5-27-11

This weekend we're going up to the lake for Memorial Day. Dad, Great-Grandma, Aunt Jane, Lucy and I rode up early. Since no one else was coming until late that night we had dinner at Happi Jax. Lucy sat in her portable chair right on top of the table.

Thursday 5-26-11

Today Lucy had a doctor's appointment. Nana went with us and afterwards we had lunch at Olive Garden. I will admit I am completely addicted to "The Big Bang Theory". I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and watch them over and over again. When we sat down and I saw this...

... I had to chuckle to myself.

In one of my favorite episodes, a grad student is "stalking" Sheldon. She sits down at the table in the cafeteria and asks him out to dinner. Here's how the conversation goes:

Ramona: I know this great little Italian restaurant
Sheldon: I never eat in strange restaurants, one runs the risk of non-standard cutlery.
Ramona: Excuse me?
Leonard: Sheldon lives in fear of the three tine fork.
Sheldon: Three tines is not a fork, three tines is a trident. Forks are for eating, tridents are for ruling the seven seas.

So now, of course, every time I see a three-tine fork I think of that.
