Sunday 9-4-10

This morning we went to church as usual. Unusual for today was that we didn't go to the grocery store afterwards. Grandma had a baby shower she was going to and didn't have time for the grocery store today. But that worked out well for us too because we had Lillie's second birthday party to go to. It was at Aunt Michelle's house and was very nice. She had a princess party and Lucy had a good time.

Saturday 9-4-10

Welcome Labor Day weekend! This afternoon we went up to the River for some family time. Gigi, Papi, Nana, Pap-pap, Uncle Rich, Aunt Jen, cousin Nick, Uncle Mike, Emily and Emily's Mom, Pat were all there with Joe, Lucy and I. We played bag-bag (or "cornhole") had mountain pies for dinner and then later Joe and I played scategories with Uncle Mike, Emily, Nana and Nick while Lucy took a nap with Gigi. Lucy had a great time but she was very tired so we let her take a late nap. Gigi loved it! It's been a while since Lucy has outgrown those evening naps and I know Gigi misses being able to sit and just rock and cuddle with Lucy when she visits in the evenings while Nana and I go to the gym, so she was on cloud nine enjoying this snuggle time with Lucy.

Friday 9-3-10

Today we went to Nichole's house for a playdate! It's still funny to me to say playdate because Lucy and Aurora don't play together at all. It's mainly for Nichole and I to get together to talk. But the girls are definitely starting to take notice of each other and I'm sure in another 6 months or so they might actually start playing together.

Thursday 9-2-10

This has been kind of a busy week. However I've been such a slacker and completely forgetting to take pictures. Today we stayed at home and had a woman named Yvonne from Early Intervention come and see us. Lucy is going to be evaluated because she isn't walking or talking yet. Today's visit was just to go over the program and sign some papers and for Yvonne to get a feel for what Lucy will need evaluated for. When she does come back for the actual evaluation she'll bring with her a physical therapist and a developmental therapist who will individually evaluate Lucy and we'll find out if she needs to be in the program or not.

Wednesday 9-1-10

This evening we went to Great-Gram's house for dinner and knitting. In late spring I planted pumpkins, strawberries, eggplant and onions. The pumpkins and the eggplant were the only things to really take off. Now I've got eggplants coming out of my ears! So I've been giving them away. I gave Great-Gram one last week and she made it for dinner this week. It was really good!

Tuesday 8-31-10

Today was a plain day at home. We recooped from our busy shopping day yesterday. Joe went to work and on his lunch break went up to the Mt. Washington lookouts to take some pictures with his new camera.

Monday 8-30-10

Today was a very busy day! We went and picked up Gigi and then rode out to Robinson to do some shopping. The whole reason for the trip was to go to the Happy Baby Company's retail store to get some cloth diaper detergent (they offer free shipping on everything except the detergent's because they are so heavy). We also went to Once Upon a Child and to the Mall at Robinson. We had lunch at Ihop and dinner at Max&Erma's. It was a really really fun day. I forgot however to take a picture.
